Day Fishing 2007

The Millpond is open all year round and set in a peaceful woodlands with ample parking and easy access.

Fishing Day rate for 2007 is £7.00 (one rod)
Day ticket concessions for pensioners (£6) and under 12's (£5)
Winter Rates run from Nov 1st to February 28/29
Each additional Rod per person is £2.00
Resident Rate is £5.00 (one rod)
Weekly Ticket is £30.00 (one day free)


 

 

The Millpond waters offer you:

3 acres of well stocked water with an average depth of 6ft 6ins
At least 48 pegs on the main pool with an un-pegged canal
Well reeded margins and various sub-terranian relief
Club orientated matches (by arrangement with the management)
Wheelchair and low pegs suitable for less able anglers
Fish stock to suit all anglers (see display below)
We are members of the Professional Coarse Fisheries Association
The Millpond is the base for the Herefordshire Academy of Angling


The Millpond mixed bag includes (all weights tops unless "you can prove us different"), Rudd and Roach 1.5-2 lbs, Bream to 4lbs, Perch to 3.25lbs, Tench to 5lbs (Golden to 3lbs), Orf/Ide 2.5-3lbs, Gudgeon 6-7inches, Carp. Common and Mirror (25lbs+), variations - Leather, Linear and Ghost, also Crucian to 3lbs and small Grass Carp to 4lbs.

Information for all Anglers/Users of
The Millpond lake for any purpose Autumn 2006 onwards

Please, in the interest of safety - Children under the age of 15 years are NOT PERMITTED AROUND THE POOLS WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION

Bans
Barbed hooks of any kind are unacceptable, these include micro-barb and pinch barb-less. Hand lining
Braid
Bait Boats and Sonars.
Trout Pellets or high protein feeds.
Boilies
Artificial baits
No night fishing
No fixed bolt rigs

Restrictions and generally accepted angling practices
Please respect all Millpond Pool Rules as regular checks are made
To fish The Millpond and all inland waters an E.A Rod Licence is required
Balance your tackle to your expected results. Allow for a lesser weight hook length to main line. No fixed bolt rigs
No fish, crustations, plants or other pond life to be removed from or introduced into these waters
We have set a maximum hook size of No 10
All landing nets must be dipped in tanks provided
Please use landing nets for all fish and for larger fish unhooking mats must be used
All nets should be manufactured from equipment bearing the acceptable manufacturing markings - e,g, The N.F.A Lily Pad Mark
Ground bait may be used in feeders or pole caps only
No maggots to be dumped in ANY refuse container
Please look after the fish, they look after you and us
Please report any unusual disfigurements on fish
Keep-Nets are NOT allowed

If match is in progress - they will be using Millpond keep nets
Match organisers must ensure their members know the Pool Rules
Match officials must carry a copy of Club's public liability insurance
Audible foul language is not acceptable
Excessive noise from radio receivers is not acceptable
Dogs and bicycles are not allowed on or near the bank-side
We have wheelchair designated fishing pegs, please ask to be accompanied to them, These may be priority usage
If need be - Use the rubbish bins by the service building especially for metal containers and line - dispose of in the correct manner
Should you need help, use the Free-phone in the information room
Copies of these pool rules are available on request
We have produced these guidelines to inform all, and the minority who on a "do not know" basis seem to want to spoil it for the majority
